Pictures for Shanna

Here are some of the pictures that I took for my cousin Shanna.  She has adorable babies and I enjoyed getting to spend time with them and get to know them better, and of course I loved taking pictures of them.  I did some different edits on the same shots and I would love to hear which ones you like better.  Pictures are funny things because everyone likes theirs just a little different.  Some people don’t like a Photoshopped look at all, and others like the way it can enhance a picture.  I am addicted to Photoshop, but I also like a happy medium, I like a clean and crisp looking picture, but I also love a vintage or soft picture too.  So take a look and see what you think.

Here a few snapshots from the night I stayed over.

Shanna got M all dressed up the next day for pictures in the cutest hat ever and a tutu.  I love the Christmas lights blurred in the background.

Same picture edited different.  I love the vintage feel of the second one.

Again same picture with yet another edit.  Still a vintage feel, but a different one than before.  Do you like the first vintage one, or this one better?  I can’t decide.

I did this next one a little softer with a slight color pop on the flower and her eyes.  What do you think?

Again just a slightly different edit.  Can you tell the difference?

I am starting to sound like a broken record, but here we go again.

Here is M’s brother, I call him Punky.

Punk was a good sport but didn’t last long.  It was Christmas Eve after all and he REALLY wanted to go to his Grandma’s house where the party was to be held that night.  He didn’t understand the party didn’t start for another 8 hours 🙂

In case you haven’t noticed, I am a sucker for pictures where the person is looking down.  I just love them!

And Punky was done with me.  I don’t blame him, I am so not fun compared to impending Christmas parties.

I adore this next photo.  This is Matt holding M while she is drinking her bottle.

M and her Dad.

Punky and his Mom.

Thanks again for letting us stay!

My niece May

ERE, originally uploaded by Caroline Beth.

My poor little niece, a dog bit her in the face on Tuesday and she had to have emergency surgery to sew up her lip. It took over 20 stiches and she will have to have some reconstructive surgery done as well. The worst part is that she is so terrified of dogs, and always has been her whole life. This picture was just taken this weekend at her house. Get well May!

My news!!

I am so super excited because my Uncle is getting married in a couple of weeks and he asked me take their wedding pictures!!  This will be my second wedding.  I was lucky enough to get to shot my little brother’s wedding back in October.  I am so freaking excited I can’t stand it.  I am already stressing out, and wanting to buy new lenses and products, but my reality checker (Johnny) is trying to calm me down 🙂  I can’t wait to have new pictures to share.  Here is one of my favorite pictures from my brother’s wedding.
