The Fray

I don’t usually buy entire albums, but I am madly in love with The Fray so John bought me their new album this morning first thing.  I can’t wait to hear all their songs.  I will let you know later what I think.

LOST

Did you know that I am a fan of Lost?  I am a freakin HUGE fan of Lost.  I have been obsessed for a few years now and I am so glad it’s back with new episodes.  This weekend instead of watching the Super Bowl, John and I had a Lost party weekend.  We rented the last season and got caught back up and then tonight we watched the first episode.  Well actually it was 2 episodes, but they showed them both for the season opener.  We have one more to watch tomorrow and we are all caught up.

I honestly can’t get enough of this stupid show.  It is so far-fetched it is hilarious at times, but there is no way I could quit watching now.  I have a good 4 years of my life invested in this show, that is way too much to just call it quits.  And let’s be honest, it is insanely fun to watch.  I get so nervous that I start to chew my fingernails and I never chew on them.

Ok so one of my favorite things that I have ever found is called The Lost Diary.  It used to be on TMZ but he has his own blog now.  This guy watches the show with his friends and he basically does almost minute by minute, play by plays of the show, except that he puts his own thoughts on the end.  I think he is so stupid funny I could die.  I can’t wait to read his posts after the show is over.  He rates the show at the end and he is honest about how dumb the show can be at times, but he is a huge fan.  Here is an excerpt from his last post:

Being a fan of “Lost” is a lot like being a fan of Prince.  Let me explain.

Both have hugely devout followings that speak languages all their own. Non-fans don’t see why us fans still follow them. But we know better.

But here’s my point — within our community, criticism is often looked at as treason. I’ve spent my fair share of time on Prince-related message boards and let me tell you, dissenters are often met with hostility. I hate to break it to you, but Prince does make a bad song/album every now and again. It doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it, just means it wasn’t up to par.

Same goes with “Lost.” As a “Lost” fan, I was supposed to LOVE the premiere, but I didn’t. And, of course, a lot of commenterstook me to task for it. HOW DARE I??? True criticism, the criticism that is truly worth paying attention to, comes from people who truly love something. Who else would you trust to tell you the truth than the people who care most about you?

So if you are a Lost fan you really should read his blog.  You will get a good laugh.

Plus I want to know who else is a Lost fan with me?  All lurkers have to come out for this one.  I know my friends the Stylers and Lopezs are, but anyone else dare to admit it?
